Bromley Mind Partnership

I am pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Bromley Mind, a mental health charity, as part of the specialist programmes for Active Life Community Wellbeing.

Bromley Mind

My business and I associate have spent months working on this tender, and came up with a programme for Bromley Mind.

Mind Your Own Body, is a course exploring the relationship between mental health and exercise

Mind Your Own Body Pilot:

Bromley Mind is running a pilot course on healthy lifestyle and sporting self-awareness for 8 weeks, known as Mind Your Own Body from 6th May 2011 until 24th June 2011; for their service users of the Beckenham Community Wellbeing Centre from Anerley, Beckenham, and Penge areas.

Active Life Community Wellbeing, who have developed the course in partnership with Bromley Mind, are facilitating the course and have adopted an ‘integrative approach’ to educate service users with a structured physical activities programme, which forms a great part of the patient treatment plan; that will allow service users to reap enormous benefits of healthily eating and moving correctly.

Community Wellbeing Manager, Nathan Rendall says, “This is a very exciting joint venture and an ideal opportunity for participants to make theoretical and practical connections with their physical selves and positive mental health”

The course is free and funded by the Personal and Community Development Learning Commission grant and sessions will take place at Bromley Mind Beckenham Centre at 20b Hayne Road, Beckenham, Kent from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm.
