Getting active with the community

Recently, I hosted a range of fitness classes in partnership with the London Borough of Lewisham and NHS Lewisham as part of their Health Programme initiative.

Community Wellbeing Project

These classes were aimed at residents who are over 40+ and ranged from dance, seated exercise and high-intensity interval training.

An active community are good for the local economy as it helps bring about a sense of togetherness amongst people; however, it is important to make sure people have access to specialist programmes that are not available locally:

Run & Tone Class at Ladywell Arena, Lewisham

Boxercise Class

Outdoor Senior Stretch Class

These programmes had a great turnout from which attendees expressed an interest in getting more active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
