If your fitness goal is body transformation, it is important to have the right attitude when comes to achieving your goals, aligned with a great mindset to sticking to a plan.
1. Begin with goal setting
First, ask yourself, what do you want?
In our first session, I will begin with a goal-setting session to discuss with you exactly what you want to achieve. Together, I will make sure your goal is specific; for example, if your goal is weight loss, you will know exactly how much weight you want to lose.
Note, the more specific you can be, the greater I can help achieve your chance of success.
2. Have realistic goals
What is the emotional reason behind your goal?
Be honest with yourself. Is it to feel more attractive? Is it to look good on the beach for a particular holiday? What is your real reason? Once you harness your emotions positively in your favour, then transforming your body becomes so much more possible.
You must have a deep desire to want that to happen this month, this time.
I have a 3 W’s analogy of your fitness goals.
a) Why – Because I need to get into my white skinny jeans
b) What – the obstacles/challenges that you can foresee help derail you off course; these could be – My mum always insists that I eat what she offers over the weekends. I work non-stop, I remember I seem to grab anything or I love my Friday takeaways with beer.
c) Who – is that person that will support you? My partner, Susan
3. Say farewell to your old look
Before embarking on your body transformation, take a ‘Before’ photo – this really helps to provide a much-needed dose of reality, let alone self-motivation.
As we are always leading busy, it is easy to ignore or fail to accept the true extent of our physical decline. In addition, for some people when they first view their before photo they are truly shocked.
This shock can have a huge motivational effect and if you are up for the challenge then that will drive you on to make the sacrifices needed to transform your body.
4. Follow a training schedule
I will help you to plan which days of the week you are going to train and which days you are going to rest. I will provide you with a training diary so you can make sure that you are sticking to the right schedule.
5. Easy to follow nutritional meal plans
As part of my Body Transformation programme service, I will provide you with Ill-structured and thought-out meal plans to follow.
My entire meal plan will include quality carbs such as fresh fruit and vegetables and oats.
In addition, there will be good fats such as avocado and natural yoghurt will be included, and proteins such as eggs, fish, and organic meats will be a part of most of your meal plans. When I provide you with the food plans remember that adherence to the plan is the most important thing.
Each plan can be adaptable to your dietary requirements.
6. Keep a diary of your food journey
You will be accountable, I will provide you with food diaries to fill in, so I can see exactly what you are eating and drinking and at what time. I will discuss and communicate with you what is or is not working and provide you with alternatives and solutions where necessary.
7. Appraise your progress
How I evaluate your progress will be completely dependent upon what your goal is.
At weekly weigh-ins with a body transformation programme, especially for those looking to get leaner will have the chance to get some feedback on whether your plan is working for you.
If you’re getting the results you want then you’ll know you’re on the right track, and if not then I know that something with your training or nutritional plan needs to be adjusted to achieve your fitness goal.
